Holland, Michigan is a town with a rich maritime history and a staggering amount of industrial design heavy-hitters like Haworth and Herman Miller. Ironically, the vast majority of its youth don't have access to creative opportunities that would prepare them to work in this industry. To address this gap, we teamed up with Ambrose and its founder Adam Weiler to launch Holland's first Youth Cardboard Regatta.

Youth teams built and navigated boats made entirely of corrugated cardboard through a course on Lake Macatawa. Area design professionals and even the mayor came out to lend their expertise and support. Over 130 students and a dozen schools and organizations participated.
